“WE ARE INDIANS, FIRSTLY AND LASTLY” - B. R. Ambedkar
Lourdes English Medium School celebrated 76th Republic day on 26th January 2025 at 9.30 a. m. in the school grounds with great éclat. The dignitaries on the dais were Rev. Fr Harold Pereira, the Joint Secretary, Mr. Stany Saldanha, the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Lourdes Church, Mrs. Fathima Priya Dsouza, the PTA President, Mrs. Jasmine Pinto, The Principal. The dignitaries of the day were escorted by a school band led by Ethan D Almeida, the SPL.
A genial welcome was accorded by Mrs. Priya Monis, the senior teacher.
Rev. Fr Harold Pereira, the Joint Secretary along with the dignitaries hoisted the National Flag with great pride and honour. The significance of the day was highlighted by Ms. Sanvika Shetty of class -7.A melodious patriotic song was presented by the school choir. The Joint Secretary addressed the gathering reflecting on unity in diversity and duties as a citizen of this great country. The programme was concluded by Mrs, Anceta Fernandes, the Assistant teacher in Mathematics and compere by Mrs. Sulochana, the Assistant teacher in History.
