The Lourdes English Medium School, Kanajar proudly hosted the LOURDES BRAIN BATTLE – AICS Inter-School Rapid Chess Tournament 2025 on 9th August 2025, bringing together the brightest young minds from across the Udupi District. The event witnessed the participation of 29 schools from the AICS Udupi zone, making it a true festival of strategy, focus, and sportsmanship.

The programme began with a warm welcome, and inspiring addresses by the dignitaries. The matches were conducted in the Rapid format, with players competing in different categories according to age groups. The school campus buzzed with excitement as each move on the chessboard reflected intense concentration and tactical brilliance.
After a day of challenging rounds, the winners in each category were felicitated by the Chief guest Mrs Dhanya. V, Bank Manager, Canara Bank with trophies, medals,and certificates, appreciating their skill and determination.
The PTEC members, team managers, parents, and volunteers played a vital role in making the tournament a grand success. The Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to all for their support, hospitality, and excellent arrangements.
The Lourdes Brain Battle – AICS Chess Fest 2025 was not just a competition but a celebration of intellect, discipline, and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship.
